What is an insurance binder?

Binders are a short time agreement with your insurance agent or insurance carriers. They are issued based on the coverage’s and conditions contained in your insurance policy. They are a fully enforceable contract of insurance. This legal agreement is temporary evidence of insurance until a formal policy can be issued. 
The binder can provide peace of mind that you’re covered until your official policy is in place.

When do I need one?

There are several scenarios where you may need an insurance binder. If you’re not sure you need one, the advisable thing to do is to call MTM Insurance. Here are some examples of when you would require a binder:
